About GBL Auto Winks

 

My career journey didn’t begin in the beauty industry. From the age of 17, I worked in the care sector and dedicated many years to helping others. However, after the heartbreaking loss of my mum, I knew it was time for a new chapter. Returning to my healthcare role in the hospital was something I simply couldn’t face, and that life-changing experience gave me the push to pursue a passion I had always loved.

 

Around nine years ago, I began my beauty journey by offering makeup applications on weekends while still working full-time in care. As my confidence and client base grew, I expanded into brow treatments before eventually introducing lash services. It was then that I discovered my true passion and niche within the industry.

 

Today, I am proud to be a multi-award-winning lash artist. My love for lashes inspired me to take my career even further by becoming an educator, allowing me to share my knowledge through accredited lash training courses and help others build successful careers of their own.

 

My passion didn’t stop there. Through years of dedication, hard work, and determination, I went on to create my own lash brand, GBL Auto-Winks. This achievement means so much to me, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of my partner, Jonny, who has been by my side every step of the way.

 

Anyone who knows Jonny knows that he’s a mechanic, so when it came to creating my brand, I wanted to honour him and show my appreciation for everything he has done for me. The name GBL Auto-Winks combines GlamourEyes By Leah with inspiration from his business, Auto-Works. That’s why you’ll see a fun mechanical theme woven throughout the brand—a tribute to the person who helped me turn my dreams into reality.
